Job summary
Kia VTAP Apprenticeship Program invites military veterans to start a career as a Kia Certified Service Technician in the United States. The program combines hands-on shop experience with formal training at participating Kia Retailers to build skills and earn while learning.
Selected veterans will diagnose, service, and repair Kia vehicles, gain access to diagnostic tools, and progress toward Kia Service Technician certification while enjoying full-time employment with a participating Kia
Qualifications
- Honorable Discharge required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in a technical or mechanical field required.
- Willing to complete and pass drug screening and background checks.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
- Complete repair orders and warranty requests in accordance with Kia and Retailer policies.
- Test drive vehicles and diagnose using Kia diagnostic strategies, equipment, and tools.
- Perform services and repairs in a timely fashion while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure an optimal customer experience.
