Job summary

Kia VTAP offers a structured apprenticeship for Veterans to become Kia Certified Service Technicians, with full-time employment at participating Kia Retailers. The program emphasizes hands-on training, diagnostic work, and certification through Kia.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge is required.
• Valid driver's license from any state with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
• Willingness to complete and pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests according to Kia and retailer policies.
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose/repair components using Kia diagnostic strategies and tools.
• Perform services and repairs in a timely manner while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to optimize the customer experience.
