Job summary

MRG Exams seeks a compassionate Optometrist or Ophthalmologist to perform medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA disability benefits process. This is a non-treating, non-determination role focused solely on assessments.

The position is in Camp Lejeune, NC, part-time (3–4 days/week), with 4-6 examinations per day on average, in-person, equipment provided, and ongoing training and support.

Qualifications

• Active & unrestricted Optometrist or Ophthalmologist license.
• Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
• Comfortable using technology to review records and complete documentation.
• No patient treatment duties; focus on assessments and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans.
• Review electronic medical records via a secure portal.
• Perform eye exams including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
• Document exam findings and complete VA forms accurately.
