Job summary

Easterseals DC MD VA seeks a Workshop Manager in Boston to lead the workshop team, ensuring safe, efficient maintenance operations and top-quality service. You will oversee daily workflow, manage the shop floor and yard, and provide regular performance updates to the Operations Director.

The role requires budgeting discipline, P&L ownership, strong leadership, and a focus on safety and customer satisfaction, with collaboration across HR, Commercial, and technical teams.

Qualifications

• US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, or Military Spouse required.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to lead operational projects from concept to completion.
• Customer-focused with strong service delivery orientation.
• Proficient in budgeting, P&L management, and KPIs.
• Knowledge of workshop procedures and safety regulations.
• Ability to develop and deliver initial technician training and drive ongoing training alinh with industry trends (EV tech).
• Cross-functional collaboration with HR, Commercial, and technical teams.
• Conflict resolution and performance management skills.
• Good IT skills and ability to prepare clear reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the workshop team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance operations.
• Oversee daily workflow, including vehicle turnaround times, productivity, repairs, breakdowns, and new work requirements.
• Manage the workshop floor and yard, ensuring organization, cleanliness, and compliance with standards.
• Conduct daily reviews of completed work to ensure accuracy of parts, labor, and descriptions.
• Own the site’s P&L, budget targets, and cost control.
