Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a Physician Assistant-licensed Examiner to conduct Comprehensive Medical Disability Examinations for Veterans applying for VA disability benefits. You will review medical records, perform focused assessments, and render objective medical opinions under VA guidelines.

This role requires an active PA license, 1+ year of experience, BLS certification, and strong communication. Travel ~10% and charting from home may be required, with collaboration across departments to meet

Qualifications

• PA degree from an accredited program and valid unrestricted PA license in the U.S.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with renewals.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
• Familiarity with VA training requirements and HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical disability examinations and focused evaluations.
• Review medical history and records to assess disabilities and daily living impact.
• Render objective medical opinions based on findings and records.
• Manage cases within the QA and case-management systems; coordinate with QA team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to obtain necessary information.
• Document findings clearly in VA-compliant reports and recommendations.
• Coordinate scheduling and availability for C&P exams and liaise with Loyal Source departments.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and privacy protocols.
