Job summary

Matrix Providers Inc. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in San Antonio, TX. This full-time, on-site position features an hourly compensation range and a standard Monday–Friday schedule.

You will review medical histories, document electronically, and coordinate ancillary testing as needed, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license required and maintained.
• PA must hold NCCPA certification.
• Master’s degree or PA program completion.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.
• Fully vaccinated per CDC/state guidelines.
• VA or compensation exam experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and provide one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• Capture responses during the exam through web-based form(s); document electronically.
• Submit completed exams to the VA for disability award determinations.
• Standard exams include musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and conducted on site or nearby.
