Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a part-time Veteran Case Manager for the Durango community shelter. This role focuses on assessing eligibility, conducting intakes, coordinating services, and providing compassionate case management for homeless veterans.

The position requires working with the VA, developing life skills and educational programs, and maintaining timely case notes. Hourly pay ranges from $23.00 to $25.00, with benefits as listed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in a related area.
• One year of direct experience with vulnerable populations.
• Own automobile, Colorado-mandated automobile insurance and good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assess eligibility and conduct intakes for veterans.
• Coordinate services to secure housing for homeless veterans.
• Collaborate with VA to determine benefits and supports.
• Provide case management and crisis intervention as needed.
• Deliver educational trainings and community presentations.
• Maintain accurate case notes and required reporting.
