Job summary

Autoliv Center for Veterans Services seeks a program coordinator to advance job placement, retention, and training goals. You will present to employers, coach veterans, and facilitate readiness workshops while building partnerships with agencies.

A strong sales background and excellent communication help translate veterans' skills into business value; you will manage data, track progress, and help meet grant objectives.

Qualifications

• Passion to work in veteran-related areas and ability to convey the value of Veterans to businesses.
• Experienced sales background and/or conviction in the value of Veterans to help businesses succeed.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to adjust professional resumes to highlight client’s military and non-military transferable skills.
• Knowledge of active-duty military life, employer needs, labor market trends, and tech-enabled career search methods.
• Ability to generate a base of veteran-friendly employers.
• Strong timeliness and attention to detail.
• Initiative, outside-the-box thinking, and teamwork toward unit goals.
• Knowledge of WIOA common measures and requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Present job placement and retention goals to groups/businesses.
• Provide case management and assessments as needed.
• Coach veterans on interview skills.
• Facilitate job readiness workshops.
• Research civilian career paths leveraging veterans' skills.
• Assist clients with targeted resumes.
• Monitor client progress, wages, and retention.
• Record client data in internal/state databases.
• Meet contract goals for placement, training, and retention.
• Develop relationships with other veteran service agencies.
• Collaborate on grants and funding opportunities.
• Support Center/Program operations as needed.
• Achieve weekly to yearly program goals.
