Job summary

Terrestris, LLC in Castle Rock, Colorado is seeking a Medical Support Assistant to support the Veteran community in the Castle Rock area. This position is open to all candidates, including Locum or Traveling professionals.

The role features a base year with 2 one-year option periods, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Mountain Time, at 3753 Dacoro Lane. Ideal candidates will have at least 6 months of customer service, basic computer skills, and familiarity with VA software.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
Oral and written proficiency with English.
High School education or GED equivalent.
Proficiency with basic computer skills and MS Office.
Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
Experience with VA software (CPRS, VISTA, CTM, ISS, HSRM, PPMS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Check-in of patients via Integrated Scheduling Solution (ISS).
Answer phones with professional etiquette and collect information before transferring calls.
Serve as Patient Relations Representative and address patient concerns tactfully.
Manage and complete assigned work, maintain efficient workflow, and communicate progress.
Update patient demographics (phone, address, next of kin, emergency contact, insurance).
Open and close clinics daily, monitor faxes and mail per HIPAA standards.
