Job summary

Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services (ADVS) seeks compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants for day shifts at the Arizona State Veterans' Home – Tucson. 12-hour shifts run 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with every other weekend off, and a $5,000 hiring incentive may apply.

Qualifications

• CNA license in AZ required or eligible
• TB test current within 12 months or physician statement
• Fingerprint clearance card required
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterans with transfers, ambulation, eating, bathing, dressing and other ADLs
• Assist in simple medical procedures and post-surgical care as directed
• Monitor vital signs and collect samples as needed
• Maintain medical records and documentation
• Assist in dining and meal service for residents
• Respond to resident requests promptly and ensure comfort
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of living areas
• Support licensed nurses in emergencies per policies
• Transport Veterans to appointments and perform clerical duties as needed
