Job summary

The Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for night shifts at the Flagstaff facility. You will provide direct care to veterans, administer medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to maintain high-quality outcomes.

This 12-hour shift runs from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with every other weekend off, and offers benefits including a pension, health insurance, and generous paid time off. A $5,000 hiring incentive may apply.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Arizona.
• CPR certification and ability to obtain fingerprint clearance card.
• Experience in geriatric/long-term care nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Communicate with residents, families and staff to coordinate care.
• Participate in MDS assessments, care plans and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Perform and document nursing assessments and daily living activities.
• Support AMS-based continuous improvement and staff development.
