Job summary
The Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for night shifts at the Arizona State Veterans' Home in Tucson. The 12-hour shifts run 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with every other weekend off, and a $5,000 hiring incentive may apply.
Night differential adds 10% of base pay. You will provide direct care to veterans, assist with transfers and activities of daily living, participate in AMS processes, document care, and support a compassionate team dedicated to
Qualifications
- Current or temporary license to practice as a Certified Nurse Assistant in Arizona.
- Experience with long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
- Ability to perform ADLs and assist with basic medical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist Veterans/Members with transfers, ambulation, eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and other ADLs.
- Monitor vital signs and use medical equipment to track input/output.
- Document medical records and worksheets accurately.
- Support dining activities and respond to resident requests promptly.
- Collaborate with licensed nurses and participate in AMS processes.
