Job summary

Kiavets in North Kansas City, MO, is looking for Military Veterans with mechanical experience to start a rewarding career as an Automotive Service Technician. This position is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), which provides full-time employment while offering hands-on experience and training necessary to become certified technicians. Candidates must have an honorable discharge from the U.S. Military, a valid driver’s license, and troubleshooting skills. This apprenticeship is GI Bill® approved and includes a Monthly Housing Allowance for eligible Veterans.

Qualifications

• Must have an Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines and electrical systems.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics using Kia diagnostic procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors to ensure a positive customer experience.
