Job summary

Kiavets in Tom Bean, TX is hiring Military Veterans for the Automotive Service Technician role under the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP). This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience and leads to Kia Service Technician certification.

Veterans will gain full-time employment while receiving training and support. Participants must be mechanically inclined, with strong troubleshooting skills, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Eligible Veterans can receive a Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) during the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles using diagnostic procedures.
• Perform vehicle inspections and complete repair orders.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and shop foremen.

Skills

Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Experience in a mechanical or technical field

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment

Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service
