Job summary

Shawnee Mission Kia in Mission, KS is seeking Military Veterans for an Automotive Service Technician position. This role is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), offering a structured one-year apprenticeship aimed to transition veterans into the automotive field. Participants will work full-time while receiving training and support to become skilled technicians. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing Kia vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role is GI Bill approved for housing support.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines and transmissions.
• Perform inspections and mechanical repairs using Kia diagnostic procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors to ensure a positive customer experience.
