Job summary

Kia VTAP Apprenticeship invites veterans to start a career as Kia Certified Service Technicians. The one-year, competency-based program is conducted with participating Kia Retailers and combines full-time work with structured training and certification paths.

Participants gain hands-on experience with Kia diagnostics and equipment, while adhering to safety and quality standards to deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willing to complete drug screening and background checks.
• Experience in a technical/mechanical field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests in accordance with Kia and Retailer policies.
• Test drive vehicles and analyze/repair components using Kia diagnostic strategies and tools.
• Perform services promptly while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor for a top customer experience.
