Job summary

Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) is offering an opportunity for military veterans to start a career as an Automotive Service Technician. This program provides hands-on experience while completing a one-year competency-based apprenticeship with potential for Kia Service Technician certification.

As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians in Lafayette, IN, gaining valuable skills in diagnosing and repairing Kia vehicles. The position offers full-time employment with training and support through the GI Bill® approved program.

Qualifications

• Military veterans with mechanical experience are encouraged to apply.
• Applicants must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Experience in a mechanical or technical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engines and electrical systems.
• Perform vehicle inspections using Kia diagnostic procedures.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.
