Job summary

Kiavets in Bluffton, SC is seeking Military Veterans for an Automotive Service Technician role. This position is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) that offers hands-on experience and leads to Kia Service Technician certification. Candidates should have an honorable discharge from the military, a valid driver's license, and prior mechanical experience. Participants will be trained in diagnosis and repair of Kia vehicles and can receive a Monthly Housing Allowance through the GI Bill®.

Qualifications

• Honorable discharge from U.S. Military service required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repair quality.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment

Basic automotive maintenance or repair experience

Education
