Job summary

Community Kia in Baytown, TX, is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience for the Automotive Service Technician role. This position is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), designed to transition veterans into the automotive industry through hands-on experience.

Candidates will work full-time at a Kia dealership while receiving necessary training and support. The program offers a path to Kia Service Technician certification and is GI Bill® approved for eligible veterans.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment.
• Willingness to complete the background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repair quality.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors.
