Healing Hands Animal Hospital in Burgaw, North Carolina seeks a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team. You will assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, and surgeries, answer client calls, and support daily patient care.

No prior experience required for new graduates; we welcome motivated learners who love animals and want hands-on veterinary experience in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• Experience as an RVT or Vet Tech Assistant or kennel attendant.
• Willingness to work Saturdays 8am-12pm.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to learn about animal care and medicine.
• Love of animals and comfort with unpredictable dogs/cats/exotics.
• Ability to jump in and cover a wide range of duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, and surgeries.
• Answer phones, handle client inquiries, and provide service.
• Perform kennel cleaning, exercise pets, and administer medications.
• Participate in in-home care and support the team.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace with high sanitation standards.
