Job summary

Preferred candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or Medical Technologist certification, with 2+ years in a clinical lab setting.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent accepted.
• No mandatory certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform bacteriology and molecular microbiology testing on diverse specimens; include culturing, enumeration, identification, and susceptibility.
• Process egg and environmental samples for state and federal programs; review results and report to clients.
• Purchase laboratory supplies, maintain equipment, prepare reagents, keep records, and perform quality assurance tasks.
• Cross-train in other areas of the laboratory.
