Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform complex tests on blood, body fluids, cells and tissues in the Pathology Laboratory. The role supports diagnostic workups under minimal supervision and follows all regulatory guidelines to ensure accurate patient results.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent military training.
• Eligible for ASCP, AMT or equivalent board certification exam; certified within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues under minimal supervision.
• Follow laboratory policies, FDA, CAP, OSHA, CUA and Joint Commission guidelines; ensure accurate test results for diagnosis and treatment.
