Job summary

VEG is seeking an Operations Lead to drive a best-in-class customer experience in our veterinary emergency hospitals. You will supervise front desk operations, triage processes, and daily hospital upkeep while empowering a team of VEGgies to deliver compassionate care for pets and their families.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years of supervisory experience, familiarity with a veterinary setting, and strong inventory, vendor, and budget management.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Prior experience with animals in a veterinary environment is a major plus.
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours, lift up to 25 kg, and work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive VEG's customer-focused experience and triage with your team to ensure consistent service.
• Maintain reception area, refreshment center, cleaning, laundry, stocking, and inventory.
• Assist customers, handle phone inquiries, greet arrivals, and manage wait times.
• Ensure accurate entry of patient information and correct payments.
• Oversee cash handling and EOD processes.
• Ensure front desk coverage at all times.
• Train and supervise new hires in front desk operations.
• Oversee inventory counts, turnover, and vendor relations.
• Keep hospital spend within budget.
• Organize stock areas meeting OSHA guidelines.
• Communicate inventory needs and train team on inventory management.
