Job summary

W3Global in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Vessel Fitter to join our industrial fabrication team. The role involves fitting and assembling pressure vessels, tanks, cylinders, and related components using engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.

The position is full-time and onsite, with 2 openings and two shift options (day and night). Candidates must read blueprints and weld symbols and work safely in a demanding shop environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Vessel Fitter in an industrial fabrication setting.
• Experience reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
• Experience with pressure vessels, tanks, or process equipment fabrication.
• Proficiency with layout tools, measuring equipment, and hand/power tools.
• Knowledge of ASME pressure vessel codes is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Physically able to lift heavy materials in a demanding shop.

Responsibilities

• Fit, assemble, and tack weld vessels, tanks, shells, heads, nozzles, and flanges.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
• Layout, align, and fit-up vessel components.
• Use measuring instruments, grinders, hand tools, and power tools.
• Collaborate with welders, pipefitters, and fabricators.
• Check assemblies for dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Follow ASME codes, fabrication standards, and shop safety.
