Job summary

Spitzer is seeking Vessel Fitters in Houston, TX for full-time, hourly nonexempt roles. You will read drawings, plan fabrication, and perform fit-up of vessels and components to tight tolerances.

You will use MIG and flux-core welding, cut and fit carbon steel or stainless parts, and coordinate with crane operators to move heavy pieces safely. Candidates should have 5+ years of pressure vessel shop fabrication experience, strong math, and the ability to work from engineering drawings in a fast

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of pressure vessel shop fabrication experience.
• Must read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient in basic math including fractions and decimals.
• Able to read a tape measure / ruler in increments of 1/16” or smaller.
• Experience with MIG and flux-core welding in vessel fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings to determine fabrication sequence.
• Fit up nozzles and couplings per drawings.
• Tack and weld carbon steel and stainless components.
• Layout and cut plates and openings per spec.
• Coordinate with foreman and team; use cranes safely.
