Job summary

Modular Equipment LLC, based in Houston, TX, seeks a skilled Vessel Fitter to join our hands-on fabrication team. You will read drawings, lay out components, and assemble pressure vessel cylinders and tanks in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, aligning shells and flanges, using hand tools and grinders, and ensuring quality and safety in every fit-up. Physical work and teamwork are essential to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vessel Fitter in an industrial fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
• Familiarity with ASME pressure vessel codes and fabrication standards is a plus.
• Proficiency with layout tools, measuring instruments, and hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Fit, assemble, and weld (tack) pressure vessel cylinders, tanks, and related components per drawings and specs.
• Read blueprints and weld symbols to ensure accurate assembly.
• Perform layout and fit-up of shells, heads, nozzles, and attachments.
• Use hand tools, grinders, and measuring instruments to align components.
• Collaborate with welders, pipefitters, and fabrication team to meet deadlines.
• Inspect assemblies for dimensional accuracy and code compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area per shop standards.

About the Role:

Modular Equipment LLC is looking for a skilled Vessel Fitter to join our team in Houston, TX. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on exciting fabrication projects in a fast-paced, industrial environment where your craftsmanship truly matters. Responsibilities:

• Fit, assemble, and weld (tack) pressure vessel cylinders, tanks, and related structural components per engineering drawings and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate assembly
• Perform layout and fit-up of shells, heads, nozzles, flanges, and structural attachments
• Use hand tools, grinders, and measuring instruments to prepare and align components
• Collaborate with welders, pipefitters, and other fabrication team members to meet project deadlines
• Inspect completed assemblies for dimensional accuracy and compliance with ASME or applicable codes
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with shop safety standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Vessel Fitter in an industrial fabrication environment
