Job summary

Spitzer is seeking a Vessel Fitter in Houston, TX to join our fabrication team. You will interpret drawings, fit nozzle and couplings, and weld carbon steel or stainless steel components using MIG and flux-core processes. Candidates should have 5+ years of pressure vessel shop fabrication experience and the ability to read tape measures and engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pressure vessel shop fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with tape measures (1/16 inch or smaller) and basic geometry.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications to determine fabrication sequence.
• Fit up nozzles & couplings as per drawings.
• Weld components using MIG and flux-core processes (carbon/stainless).
• Layout & cut components to spec; fit internal assemblies.
• Inspect fit-ups using appropriate tools; work with others to resolve issues.
• Operate shop tools and lifting/rigging devices safely.
• Maintain safety and quality procedures; perform other duties as assigned by Foreman.
