Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication and information flow between vessels, employees, customers, managers, vendors and regulatory agencies.
• Enter harbor activities and sailings into dispatching and vessel tracking systems.
• Schedule berthing of barges using the daily movement sheet.
• Communicate with tugs at sea via VHF, SSB and NEXTEL radio or cellular phones.
• Prepare daily dispatch notifications of vessel arrivals and departures.
• Maintain dispatch/radio logs and update crew assignments as directed.
