Job summary

Moran Shipping Agencies, Inc. is seeking a Vessel Boarding Agent in Beaumont, TX to coordinate vessel arrivals/departures and act as liaison with vessels, clients, and port officials. This role ensures compliant and timely port operations while maintaining records and communicating with stakeholders.

Candidate will coordinate berthing, oversee vendor services, and monitor service quality; travel and on-site work at ports may be required, with a focus on safety and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Must have or obtain TWIC credentials.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vessels arrive and depart ports in accordance with client interests and regulations.
• Coordinate berthing with vessel, government, and port officials.
• Oversee vendor services (pilotage, towage, labor) and prepare port cost proforma estimates.
• Arrange owner requirements and maintain port logs and records.
• Maintain ongoing communications with principals, terminal personnel, shippers, receivers, vendors, and agencies.
• Monitor vendor service quality and review invoices against tariffs and service time.
