Job summary

SBT Global is seeking a skilled Vertex/SAP consultant to lead full-lifecycle Vertex implementations and SAP integrations for US tax processes. You will analyze requirements, tailor Vertex configurations, and deploy solutions with strong data conversion, testing, and training deliverables.

Responsibilities include on-call support, process improvement, and collaboration with HQ to optimize tax-related SAP workflows across the USA.

Qualifications

Korean and English bilingual proficiency required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with an information technology focus.
2–5 years of experience as a process consultant or in a similar role.
Full-lifecycle implementation experience with Vertex or a similar US tax system.
Strong knowledge of US tax processes.
Knowledge and experience delivering projects within an Agile framework.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
In-depth technical knowledge of SAP.
Project management experience involving conceptualization, organization, planning, test execution, user training, and documentation of training materials.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of the system development life cycle, application development dynamics, and information technology practices and methods.
Korean and English bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain the Vertex system, including tax rule setup and tax calculation verification.
Analyze customer requirements and tailor the use of the system to meet those objectives.
Develop project plans and timelines to successfully deploy solutions and assist with data conversion; perform unit or integration testing as needed.
Provide full support to users across all relevant sites in the USA. Identify and understand end-user technical requirements, provide necessary training and documentation, build and maintain strong end-user relationships, and provide ongoing support.
Support and communicate with HQ regarding the implementation, management, and optimization of new and existing SAP processes related to tax changes, as needed to meet customer requirements.
Proactively formulate process improvements based on support issues to minimize recurring support needs.
Provide strategic guidance to users in defining or designing processes to meet customer requirements; document existing customer business processes, identify inefficiencies, recommend system improvements, and provide backup support for Vertex consultants as needed.
Monitor and report on the status of issues, proactively review and interpret performance against operating standards, and provide information and reports on results.
Serve as the primary on-call support person for troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
Full-lifecycle Vertex implementation, especially integration with SAP.
Experience with sales and use tax processes.
Solution design, implementation, and post-implementation support.
Creation and execution of test plans, testing, and results tracking.
Development of training materials and documentation.
Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen collaborative relationships with internal and external partners who can provide information, assistance, and support.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills demonstrated through teamwork, understanding of business and customer requirements, and effective communication.
