Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a SAP Vertex Consultant to support indirect tax technology initiatives across enterprise tax systems and connected platforms.

You will handle Vertex O Series, integrations, testing, and deployment activities to ensure stable tax determination and reliable system performance. You will collaborate with IT, Tax, ERP, and business teams to implement enhancements, perform issue resolution, and deliver critical tax initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in SAP, tax technology, or related areas.
• Strong experience with Vertex O Series and Vertex tax application support.
• Experience with Vertex integrations and indirect tax technology platforms.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application support, incident management, and production support processes.
• Experience supporting SAP-integrated tax processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with testing, defect resolution, and release management activities.

Responsibilities

• Support Vertex application initiatives, enhancements, and operational activities across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with IT, Tax, ERP, Infrastructure, and support teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver project objectives.
• Support and maintain Vertex indirect tax solutions to ensure stable and accurate tax determination processes.
• Assist with integrations involving SAP, Ariba, CFIN, Transact, Transcend, Osprey, and other connected enterprise platforms.
• Participate in testing activities, defect management, user support, validation, and production readiness efforts.
• Investigate and resolve application issues while minimizing business disruption.
• Support application releases, enhancements, patches, and deployment activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimization.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, controls, and change management processes.
• Support business continuity and operational stability for critical tax applications.

The role requires hands-on experience with Vertex O Series, enterprise application support, and SAP-integrated tax processes, with responsibilities covering application enhancements, integrations, testing, issue resolution, releases, deployment activities, and operational support. The consultant will collaborate with IT, Tax, ERP, Infrastructure, and business teams to maintain reliable tax determination, system stability, and successful delivery of tax-related initiatives.
