Job summary

Marlabs Inc. is seeking a process consultant to support Vertex and SAP integrations in the US tax domain. You will manage tax rule setup, verification, and version control while aligning SAP with Vertex for compliant tax processing.

The role requires 2–5 years in Vertex or similar tax systems, strong analytical skills, and experience delivering Agile projects with documentation and end-user training. On-site duties across multiple sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related discipline with an information technology focus.
• 2-5 years of experience as a process consultant or similar role.
• Full lifecycle Vertex or similar US tax system implementation.
• Strong knowledge of US Tax process.
• Knowledge and experience of delivering projects in an agile framework.
• Strong Analytical and problem solving skill.
• In-depth technical knowledge working with SAP.
• Project management experience involving planning, training, and documentation.
• Experience with system development life cycle and IT practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Vertex system including tax rule setup and calculation verification.
• Support Vertex system version management.
• Analyze customer requirements and tailor system usage to objectives.
• Develop project plans and timelines for deployments and data conversion; perform testing.
• Provide on-going end-user support and training across sites.
• Coordinate SAP integration with Vertex implementations; manage communication with HQ.
• Identify process improvements to minimize recurring issues and optimize practices.
• Provide strategic guidance to users to design processes meeting requirements.
• Monitor issue status and report performance against standards.
• Serve as on-call trouble-shooter for system issues.
• Deliver full lifecycle Vertex implementations with SAP integration.
• Create test plans and track results; produce training materials.
