Threat Tec, LLC is seeking a dependable General Shop Technician to support our Mission Engineering Division. The role involves assembly, maintenance, and repair of mechanical components, plus carpentry and basic fabrication in a fast-paced shop.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical skills, experience in machine shops, and the ability to follow instructions while working with machinists, technicians, and engineers. Salary ranges from $50,000 to $70,000 annually.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hands-on experience in a machine shop or similar setting.
• General knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, equipment, and shop practices.
• Experience using hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and common shop equipment.
• Basic carpentry skills including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks within the shop.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical work including assembly, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of components and equipment.
• Assist machinists and engineers with fabrication, modification, assembly, and repair of parts and systems.
• Perform general carpentry tasks such as measuring, cutting, drilling, fastening, assembling, and modifying wooden structures.
