Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a dependable shop helper to support the custom metal fabrication shop, ensuring safety and quality in daily tasks.

Responsibilities include preparing the shop for projects, assisting fabrication tasks, unloading/loading materials and keeping work areas clean. Candidates should read and follow directions, use basic math and tape measures, lift up to 50 pounds, and work 40+ hours per week with potential weekends.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with shop leadership to meet production needs safely and efficiently.
• Operate fabrication shop equipment including shears, brakes, rollers, ironworkers, drills, saws, and forklifts safely.
• Take direction from supervisors and communicate project needs clearly.
• Think creatively to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
• Follow all safety and project rules.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must read, write, and communicate clearly with supervisors.
• Use basic math and read a tape measure.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks repetitively.
• Work in hot, cold, damp and cramped environments.
• Typically 40+ hours per week with possible weekend work.
• Background checks and drug screening may be required.
