Job summary

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI seeks an experienced Internal Float RN to join the internal float pool. You will float across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED Boarding units, coordinating patient care with speed, compassion, and clinical excellence.

Required are an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, BLS, and 18+ months in Med/Surg or Telemetry (2 years preferred). Self-scheduling and a limited weekend shift rotation are offered along with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 18 months RN Med Surg or Telemetry experience (2 years strongly preferred).
• Ability to self-schedule and meet weekend shifts.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and teamwork across units.

Responsibilities

• Float across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED Boarding units.
• Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
• Adapt quickly to each unit’s workflow and support teams.
• Demonstrate strong communication, decision-making, and leadership.
• Support safest patient environment and best patient experience.
