Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL seeks a Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg/Telemetry/Progressive Care Float Pool. You will provide clinical expertise to deliver high-quality care across multiple units while supporting a collaborative care team.

The ideal candidate has a Florida RN license (compact allowed), a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), acute care experience, BLS and ACLS, NIHSS, and additional certifications.

Qualifications

• Florida Registered Nurse license is required or compact licensure with active FL license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications current; NIHSS preferred.
• Additional certifications such as CCRN/ONC/PCCN/CMSRN are considered an asset.
• Strong critical thinking, communication and documentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
