Job summary

Requirements include a BSN preferred, at least 5 years combined MedSurg/ICU or ED experience, 1 year preceptor experience, BLS, and an RN license in the state or a compact license. Multiple shifts available; full-time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in MedSurg and Intermediate Care, and either Critical Care or Emergency Department.
• 1 year of preceptor experience required.
• BLS required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations for flexibility of assignment within the ministry.
• Proactively provide assignment availability on a regular basis.
• Able to be assigned to more than one unit.
• Uses the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychosocial needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers.
