Job summary

Wells Concrete is seeking a Production Laborer to support daily manufacturing operations, including stripping, setting up, and pouring beds, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. You will collaborate with Quality Control, work across multiple production areas, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
• General math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to work with others to get the project completed efficiently and work independently when needed.
• Knowledge of the products the company uses, and which products would work best.
• Understand and accept changes that are implemented to become Best in Class.

Responsibilities

• Strip, set up, and pour beds in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with the Quality Control Department to ensure optimal product quality.
• Follow directions from the Team Leader and Supervisor.
• Be flexible to work in all areas, including Production, Yard, Patching, and other departments as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and strong housekeeping practices at all times.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Follow established quality programs and consistently produce high-quality work.
• Maintain a professional attitude, strong attendance, and positive working relationships across all departments.
