Job summary

Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at Naval Station Norfolk seeks an experienced facilities maintenance worker. The role covers two or more trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting) to maintain guest housing and related fixtures.

You will log work orders, coordinate with supervisors, and perform routine repairs with safety and quality in mind. This position supports a 24/7 operation and requires physical work, including lifting up to 45 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience with demonstrated skill in two areas (Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting).
• Knowledge in safety and environmental rules and regulations concerning procedures, tools, mechanical and electrified equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance across two or more trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting).
• Maintain work order logs and report status to supervisor.
• Inspect and repair plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and carpentry items.
