Job summary

Navy Region Southwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a maintenance worker to perform a range of semi-skilled tasks across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and related trades. The role involves working outdoors and indoors, carrying out standard repair methods and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Incumbents should have two years of trades experience and be able to communicate clearly with management and staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the applicable trades.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental rules and regulations.
• Clear verbal and written communication with management, staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks across multiple trades for building and fixture upkeep.
• Carry out semi-skilled and unskilled work using standard methods.
• Assist with repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and HVAC areas as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazardous conditions.
• Maintain records and coordinate with supervisors as required.
