Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and care teams in a busy clinical setting. You will room patients, assist with procedures, manage EPIC-based records, and help coordinate care across the front desk and clinical workflows.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA guidelines. A MA certificate or CNA/EMT/Paramedic background is preferred, with BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; MA certificate or CNA/EMT/Paramedic preferred.
• 1+ year of experience as MA/CNA/EMT/ACA/PCA/Paramedic/Phlebotomist required; new grads considered.
• Certification/registration (CCMA/CMA/AAMA/RMA) preferred; BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and room patients.
• Handle administrative duties: scheduling, chart management, and medical records handling.
• Perform environmental duties: infection control, instrument setup, and room cleaning.
• Support care coordination and participate in staff meetings and quality initiatives.
