Job summary

ChenMed LLC is actively seeking a capable Medical Assistant to support physicians and patients in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will record vital signs, collect specimens, assist with exams, and relay information to the care team to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic program.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as MA, PCT, EMT or Paramedic.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Geriatric patient experience is a plus.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record patient vital signs and medical history.
• Communicate patient needs to PCP, Clinician, or other staff.
• Assist with exams; explain procedures to patients.
• Collect lab specimens and perform basic waived tests.
• Prepare and administer medications under physician supervision.
• Maintain supplies, sterilize instruments, and follow OSHA standards.
• Process patient messages and relay information to physicians.
• Call in prescriptions to pharmacy with physician approval.
