Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments; formulates a care plan and evaluates outcomes.
• Coordinates the care of patients and directs assistive personnel to provide safe, effective, timely, patient-centered care.
• Works collaboratively with other health professionals to determine healthcare needs and communicates effectively with patients and families as a patient advocate.
• Maintains annual mandatory education requirements and participates in professional development and quality improvement activities.
• Demonstrates commitment to patients, staff, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and accountability for patient safety.
