Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Float Pool Nurse to support over fifteen units with diverse specialties, offering broad clinical experience and patient-centered care.

The 36-hour day/night rotating position includes weekend and holiday rotations. A $10,000 bonus is eligible for qualified candidates, with opportunities to collaborate across neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, and more.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• License Registered Nurse required.
• American Heart Association – Basic Life Support Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments; assess needs and formulate a care plan.
• Coordinates the care of patients and directs assistive personnel to provide safe, patient-centered care.
• Collaborates with health professionals to determine healthcare needs and communicates with patients and families.
• Maintains annual mandatory education requirements and pursues growth with unit educators or CNS; may participate in quality activities.
• Demonstrates commitment to patients, staff, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; accountability for nursing practice and patient safety.
