Job summary

Trademasters is seeking a General Maintenance Worker for a 3–6 month assignment in NW Washington, DC. The role involves maintaining and repairing building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, with opportunities for overtime and extension based on performance.

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30am–6:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Competitive benefits begin on day one, and a resume update is requested for consideration.

Qualifications

• Three years of related building maintenance experience requested.
• Experience with drywall and painting preferred.
• Must be able to acquire a CFC Universal certification.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust Clearance (OASAM).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform and document a variety of minor repairs on building equipment and systems.
• Assist Electricians, HVAC technicians, and Plumbers with major repairs and installations.
• Move furniture, tools, and materials; organize contractor workspaces and keep areas clean.
• Document and report on services performed and maintain records.
• Support safety initiatives and follow instructions from tradespeople.
