Job summary

Trademasters NW Wash DC is hiring a General Maintenance Worker for a 3-6 month assignment in NW Washington, DC. The role involves operating, maintaining and repairing building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry to support premium government facilities and office spaces.

The position runs Monday–Friday 9:30am–6:00pm with potential overtime. A strong candidate will document work, ensure safety, and collaborate with tradespeople.

Qualifications

• Three years of related building maintenance experience
• Experience with drywall and painting preferred
• Must be able to obtain a CFC Universal
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust Clearance (OASAM)

Responsibilities

• Independently perform and document minor repairs on building equipment and systems.
• Maintain HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting and related systems.
• Assist electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers with major repairs and installations.
• Move materials, organize contractor workspaces, and keep work areas clean.
• Document services performed and uphold safety standards in the workplace.
