Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair tasks across our properties. The role requires working overtime, weekends, and outdoors in various weather conditions.

You will collaborate with different departments to ensure high-quality service and safety compliance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, painting and drywall repairs, and the ability to read manuals and safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or technical school credits; or related experience.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance incl. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, appliance repair.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals; write routine reports.
• Ability to apply common sense to follow written or oral instructions.
• Team player with positive attitude and focus on service.

Responsibilities

• Operates tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintains effective working relationships with team members.
• Identifies and reports broken equipment to supervisor.
• Keeps work area and equipment clean and safe; complies with regulations.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and building/grounds.
• Maintains positive customer service attitude with residents.
