Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for inpatient roles across multiple units. The position requires a current IL-licensed RN with ACLS and BLS certifications. An associate degree is required, with a high school diploma or GED acceptable.

The nurse will deliver direct patient care, assess needs, develop and implement care plans, document care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Opportunities for growth and leadership training are available.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with IL IDFPR registration.
• ACLS certification within 1 year (AHA).
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care for the healthcare team.
• Conducts initial patient admission assessment and develops a care plan.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions.
• Modifies plan of care to ensure patient and employee safety.
• Communicates with team to resolve issues.
• Provides feedback to support professional development of peers.
• Identifies learning needs and pursues solutions.
• Fulfills departmental competencies.
• Floats to inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs.
• Completes Unit Nurse Leader Training as needed.
• Provides direct nursing care in collaboration with multidiscipline team.
• Documents assessments, diagnoses, plans, and evaluations.
• Precepts staff from various units.
• Coordinates care with multidisciplinary team.
