Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Nurse with inpatient experience to join our inpatient units. The role involves assessing patients on admission, developing and implementing care plans, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

The candidate must hold an active RN license in Illinois, with ACLS within 1 year and BLS within 30 days. Associate’s degree or higher and a high school diploma/GED are required. May float to multiple inpatient units as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of RN inpatient experience.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) by Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• ACLS within 1 year by American Heart Association; BLS within 30 days by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care for medical team.
• Completes initial patient assessment and develops a care plan.
• Implements and evaluates plan of care and nursing interventions.
• Communicates with colleagues to resolve issues and provide feedback.
• Precepts staff and coordinates care within multidisciplinary teams.
• Floats to various inpatient units as needed.
• Provides direct nursing care and ensures patient safety.
