Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have 2 yrs RN inpatient experience.
• Licensure as RN (IDFPR) required; ACLS within 1 year; BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care for the healthcare team.
• Completes initial patient assessment and develops plan of care.
• Implements and adjusts plan of care and interventions.
• Maintains safety and reports hazards/incidents.
• Communicates with team and provides feedback for colleagues.
• Identifies learning needs and pursues solutions.
• Fulfills departmental competencies.
• Floats to multiple inpatient units as needed.
• Provide direct nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Conducts assessments, diagnoses, plans, implements and evaluates care.
• Precepts staff as needed.
• Coordinates care across multidisciplinary team.
